Republicans Still the "No" Party Over Financial Reform

Republicans are still talking out of both sides of their mouths. On one side they are decrying the actions of Goldman Sachs, and on the other side voting 'no' when it comes to reforming how those systems work. They have't even gotten to a vote for actual reform yet, either. Republicans are currently just all voting 'no' to even have discussion about reform.

Palin makes common claims about our nation's forefathers

It just isn't good for people to mix nationalism and faith. It ends up with an incorrect view of history...and ultimately a misplacement of faith itself into politics like this...as exemplified in this video.

In KC with the band

Hey all...sorry that I've not been posting lately. I've been busy with a lot of life issues, trying to spend some time with friends, talking about church, and practicing for a gig with my band that we happen to be playing tonight in Kansas City, MO.

Unfortunately it is a private, corporate gig this time...so I can't encourage anyone to come out and see us. But on May 15th, we'll be playing a gig at Cartoons in Springfield, MO, so if you are interested in some fun funk, pop, and rock music. Come on out.

Fox News is the largest news network in the United States, but they can't report anything accurately.  Someone needs to coax them to remove the term "news" from their name.

Easter

Have a blessed Easter!

Resurrection: Rob Bell from The Work of Rob Bell on Vimeo.

At the heart of the historical Jesus story is the provocative, compelling, subversive, beautiful insistence that nothing can ever be the same again, not after resurrection.

I friend of mine shared this with me yesterday. Rob Bell is getting a little weird with his presentation, as my friend also pointed out, but the content is still good. Give it a look.
